Privacy Policy

Traffic Data is anonymous information that does not personally identify you but is helpful for marketing purposes or for improving your experience on the Website.

2. Personal Information. Personal information may include (a) Contact Data (such as your name, mailing and e-mail addresses); (b) Financial Data (such as your account or credit card number and Social Security number); and (c) Demographic Data (such as your zip code, age and income) (collectively "Personal Information"). If you communicate with us by e-mail, post messages to chat groups, bulletin boards or forums, if any, on the Website, or otherwise complete online forms, surveys or contest entries, any information provided in such communication may be collected as Personal Information.

3. Cookies. Like many companies, we may from time to time use "cookie" technology on our Website. B. Uses of Information Collected

The Company, its affiliates and its agents (including third party service providers) use Contact Data to send you information about the Company or our services, or promotional material from some of our affiliates or partners, or to contact you when necessary. We use your Financial Data to verify your qualifications for certain services and to bill you for services. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with person information. We use the various Google Adwords features to advertise on third party websites, including Google, to previous visitors to the Website. With Remarketing, third-party vendors use Cookies (including third-party Cookies such as those from DoubleClick) to provide our advertisements on the internet based upon your past visits to the Website, and with Demographics and Interest Reporting, we use aggregate data provided (such as age, gender, and interests) to understand and communicate better with visitors to the Website. You may opt-out of Google’s use of Adwords by adjusting your advertising settings or by downloading the browser add-on discussed above. C. Sharing of Personal Information

We share Demographic Data with advertisers and other third parties only on an aggregate basis. Financial Data resulting from credit card or checking account debit transactions will be directed to our vendors for transaction processing.

D. User Choice Regarding Collection, Use and Distribution of Personal Information

You may choose not to provide us with any Personal Information. In such an event, you can still access and use much of the Website; however you will not be able to access and use those portions of the Website that require your Personal Information. 

E. Confidentiality and Security of Personal Information

We recognize the trust you place in us when you give us Personal Information. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we will keep your Personal Information private and will not share it with third parties, unless such disclosure is necessary to: (i) comply with a court order or other legal process; (ii) protect our rights or property; (iii) provide Services which you have requested from the Company or (iv) enforce our Terms of Service. Your Personal Information is stored on secure servers maintained by us and our vendors that are not accessible by unauthorized third parties. We provide you with the capability to transmit your Personal Information via secured and encrypted channels if you use a similarly equipped web browser. We take all steps deemed reasonable by the Company to keep your Personal Information secure. We require our employees and third party data processors to respect the confidentiality of any Personal Information held by the Company. F. Other Limits to Your Privacy

The Website contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. YOU SHOULD EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN DECIDING TO DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN THESE AREAS.

G. Viruses

We use appropriate commercially available anti-virus software in an attempt to ensure that the Website does not contain or carry viruses. However, due to the rapidly developing nature of viruses and the Internet, we strongly recommend that you employ similar anti-virus software when accessing the Website. We make no warranty that the Website or email correspondence are free from such viruses.

H. Privacy Protection for Children Using the Internet and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”)

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) protects the online privacy and personal information of children under thirteen (13) years of age. The Website and the Mobile Apps contain energy-related information that may be of educational interest to children. In compliance with COPPA, we do not promote online to children, and do not intentionally gather or collect or seek to gather or collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13. We do not solicit or collect customer identifiable information targeted at children. We encourage all children and young teens to always seek consent from their parents before providing any information about themselves or their household to ANYONE on the Internet.

I. Updates and Changes/Severability

Any waiver or amendment of any right or provision of these Terms of Use will be effective only if signed by an authorized representative of the Company and the failure of the Company to exercise or enforce any term or condition shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. The Company reserves the right, at any time and without notice, to add to, change, update or modify the Website, the Mobile Apps and these Terms of Use (including the Privacy Policy) at any time, simply by posting such change, update or modification on the Website. Any such change, update or modification will be effective immediately upon posting on the Website. Your continued use of the Website or Mobile Apps after the posting of such modification constitutes acceptance of such modified terms and conditions. The Company will not provide you with a notice of any change to the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy therein. It is your responsibility to monitor and review any changes. Nothing contained in these Terms of Use is intended or shall be construed as creating an agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between you and the Company, its affiliates or subsidiaries. If any provision of these Terms of Use is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect and the invalid, void or unenforceable provision shall be deemed modified so that it is valid and enforceable to the extent permitted by law.
